Afrifoodlinks

Launched in December 2022, AfriFOODlinks is an EU-funded project. Coordinated by ICLEI Africa, the project brings together 26 partners from around the world to improve food security and urban sustainability in more than 65 cities across Africa and Europe.

• Applying an urban food systems approach to promote the adoption of healthy and sustainable diets

• Transforming urban food environments through practical socio-technical experiments.

• Promoting inclusive multi-stakeholder governance to enable public officials, small businesses and communities to take ownership of and shape their food systems.

• Accelerate the creation of innovative agri-food enterprises, led by women and young people, to foster local value creation and economic participation for all.
